On New Year's Day we were able to go to the snow for some fun. We decided that we would just drive up Hwy 50 until we found a good place to stop and play. Our first stop was fun but didn't last long. We got out of the car, got on all of our snow attire, walked to the snow and the kids went down a few times until the CHP came with his loud speaker telling everyone who was parked along the side of the highway to pack up and leave. There were about 25 cars. So, we packed up and left. We ended up stopping at a Gas station/store where lots of people were legally parked. But Troy and I both had a coulpe of falls on the ice... OUCH!!! Overall it was a fun day, but next time we're going to go snow boarding at a real resort... :)

We were so lucky to beable to go sledding at the golf course down the street. I think we had more fun then the kids though. Didn't know you got snow in Cali like that. Looks like you had a great time though. Why do the cops always have to ruin all the fun?
