Well, Life happens. We have been very busy just living life. We are at our busiest time of year. Baseball overlapped basketball for a couple of weeks, and all of that is happening during the State Championship meet for Joshua and now training for Regionals, still all the while Courtney is busy practicing for Theater and starting Strauss. Josh placed 11th at State this year, not his very best but still good. He started out strong at the meet but had a hiccup on the high bar, but was still able to place in the top 12 to go to Regionals in Arizona the first weekend in April. Tyler finished out his basketball season strong. His team had a lot of fun with Troy coaching. Tyler is now on the Major's Red Sox team this year, he's looking really good out there. Zach is on the NY Yankees!! Last week at practice Zach's coach had some of the dads out on the field helping with fielding, batting, etc... and Zach was teaching the batting coach how to bat... :) GO ZACH! Opening day is Saturday and we can't wait! Courtney is busy with Alice in Wonderland. Her costumes are done and ready to go. This year she tried out for the Elk Grove Strauss Dance Festival, it's something that Elk Grove has done for years, it's a HUGE tradition. They have beautiful costumes and they learn polka and waltz dances and they perform for a weekend in July over the lake in the Elk Grove park, they have fire works after each show, it's a really big deal. She's really looking forward to that. Practices start tonight, so theater and Strauss will overlap for her for about a month.
So, in the midst of our business I've been pondering on how to make it a little easier at meal time. I was introduced to these AMAZING websites, there are 3 and they all go together. Food Storage Made Easy; The Obsessive Shopper; and Everyday Food Storage Recipes.
I am having so much fun learning all that there is on their sites. I am totally excited to start cooking and using my food storage everyday, and shopping to get a REAL 3 month supply.
Hope you will enjoy the sites as much as I do!
